OUR PROJECTS

BEYKOZ PERMACULTURE ECOLOGICAL PARK

“We have launched our first project in cooperation with schools via public education and practices so that everyone can experience the possibility of sustainable life. We want to lead the way in transforming the rural areas of Beykoz by organizing restorative and protective agriculture trainings for the local farmers. Together, we will experience farming without polluting Nature while healthy food reaches our tables.” Permatürk Vakfı

‘Permaturk Foundation for Transitioning to Sustainable Life in Harmony with Nature’, which set out as a civil society movement to teach, support and show that sustainable living is possible under the guidance of Nature's teachings, is implementing its first ecological transformation project in Beykoz, Istanbul, in cooperation with the Beykoz Municipality. So, a story of transformation is about to begin on 24,100 square meters of land in the Suleiman the Magnificent City Forest in Beykoz, Istanbul.

Beykoz Permaculture Ecological Park Project will be implemented in cooperation with the Permaturk Foundation and Beykoz Municipality. A protocol has been signed between the Permaturk Foundation and Beykoz Municipality for the project, which is based on permaculture principles, and aims to promote ecological agriculture activities and sustainable living.

Following the protocol Permaturk Foundation and Beykoz Municipality officials have officially started working on the field to transform the land. Once Beykoz Permaculture Ecological Park, whose site plan is completed and put into operation, the park will transform into a permaculture and natural life center where sustainable life in harmony with nature is showcased with real examples.

In the ecological park where food production areas will be established with completely natural methods without using any pesticides, there will also be food forests with fruit and nut trees, ponds where rainwater is collected and stored, community gardens that allow collective food production, children's activity areas, and an activity center where trainings and workshops will be held. We would also kindly inform you that the social distancing rules are strictly followed on our Beykoz premises.
