This Enlightenment Text on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data (“Clarification Text”) is issued by the Permatürk Back to Sustainable Life Foundation (“Permatürk” or “Foundation”) as the data controller of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law”). It has been written within the scope of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Complied with in Fulfilling the Disclosure Obligation, published in the Official Gazette dated 10 March 2018 and numbered 30356 with its article 10. In this context, we would like to enlighten and inform you in the most transparent way about the ways in which your personal data is collected, the purposes of processing, the legal reasons for the processing and your rights.

1. Data Controller

Your personal data in the capacity of data controller Mahmutşevketpaşa Mah. Mukaddes St. Ayazma Evleri No:10 Beykoz / Istanbul address may be processed by the Foundation within the scope described below.


2. Your Personal Data; 

We process the following personal data within the scope of your legal and/or contractual relationship with our Foundation:

  • Identity (Name and surname, date of birth, place of birth, TR ID number, etc.)

  • Contact (Address, e-mail address, contact address, phone number, etc.)

  • Transactions Related to Donation (your financial information for donation payment, other financial information regarding the cash and/or in-kind donations you have made to us, invoice, receipt, receipt information, etc.)

  • Transaction Security (IP address information, website login and exit information, password and password information, etc.)

  • Finance (Credit card information, asset information, etc.)

  • Other Information (Donation history information, cookie records, information obtained through campaign work, etc.)”


3. Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data

Your personal data may be processed by the Foundation or its authorized persons, in accordance with the basic principles stipulated in the Law, and within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, for the following purposes in this Clarification Text, and when necessary, only with explicit consent:_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

  • Giving information about the activities and activities of the Foundation,

  • Giving information about the campaigns of the Foundation,

  • Providing the services of the Foundation,

  • Making your invitation to the foundation for the purpose of promoting the foundation,

  • Organizing the tasks you will undertake and informing about the tasks,

  • Reporting to the donors of the foundation,

  • Registration of donations, fulfillment of financial and other obligations related to them

  • Fulfilling legal obligations and requests from administrative authorities
    keeping records for

  • Measuring the social impact of the foundation on society,

  • Execution of management activities, 

  • Providing information to authorized persons, institutions and organizations,

  • Carrying out strategic planning activities,

  • Execution of contract processes,

  • Carrying out storage and archiving activities,

  • Organization and event management,

  • Carrying out activities to ensure business continuity,

  • Receiving and evaluating suggestions for improvement of business processes,

  • Execution / supervision of business activities,

  • Conducting communication activities,

  • Follow-up and execution of legal affairs,

  • Execution of finance and accounting works,

  • Execution of activities in accordance with the legislation,

  • Execution of access authorizations,

  • Conducting educational activities,

  • Conducting audit / ethical activities and

  • Execution of information security processes. 


All necessary technical and administrative measures are taken by the Foundation in order to prevent unlawful processing of your personal data and illegal access to your data and to keep your personal data safe.

4. The Parties to which Personal and Data are Transferred and the Purpose of Transfer

In personal data transfers to be made by the Foundation, it is acted in accordance with the personal data transfer conditions regulated in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law.

Your personal data is provided by the Foundation for the purposes of transfer, including but not limited to:

  • If you use the virtual donation option, you will be directed to the licensed payment service infrastructure contracted by our Foundation. These service providers process your personal data within the scope of their policies and activities. You can access information about the current payment provider from the screen where you make the payment.

  • Your contact information is transferred to service providers that provide e-announcement / SMS sending services for donor communication.

  • In order to ensure donor participation and/or communication planning for events and announcements, transfers are made to third parties who run the organization and to service and infrastructure providers that ensure the execution of relationship management processes.

Your personal data in question may also be transferred to judicial authorities or relevant law enforcement authorities, upon request, to resolve legal disputes or in accordance with the relevant legislation.

If your personal data is shared, necessary security measures are taken.

5. Collection Method and Legal Reason of Your Personal Data

Your personal data will be collected verbally, in writing or electronically by the Foundation or its authorized persons to be processed for the non-limiting purposes specified in this Clarification Text, and may be collected and processed by automatic or non-automatic means. Your personal data collected with these methods can be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this Clarification Text within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law. can be transferred.

Personal data will be processed according to the following rules and principles;

  • In accordance with the law and honesty rules,

  • For specific, explicit and legitimate purposes,

  • Relating to the purpose for which they are processed, limited and measured,

  • To be stored for the period required by the relevant legislation or for the purpose for which they are processed.

The Foundation has prioritized the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, international conventions, the Law and other relevant legislation, and ensuring that you use your rights effectively as a relevant person. 

6. Use of Website Cookies

The Foundation website uses the internet analysis service provided by Google, called Google Analytics. This service monitors the visit date, time and movements of the site users within the site. The Foundation uses this information to improve the performance of the website, to see which days and times are busy, and to learn which areas of the website are popular.

Google Analytics uses cookies. Cookies are small data saved on your computer by our website. The information provided by the cookies is saved by Google. Google uses this information to track how you use our website and to compile reports on website activity.

7. Credit Card Security

The security of your credit card is provided by SSL encryption technology. You will see a lock icon in your browser on every page where you enter your credit card information. This icon represents 128 Bit SSL Certificate provided by GlobalSign. In addition, on the pages where you enter your credit card information while making the payment, the internet address section will change from http to https. With SSL technology, a direct encrypted communication is established between the user's computer and the bank, regardless of the site, when the payment process starts, and any information you send via your browser is not seen by Foundation employees or third parties.

All the information you enter while making a transaction with your credit card is protected by the system that protects the database. The Foundation undertakes not to disclose the personal and sensitive information it collects from users for any reason, except for legal requirements, without user consent, not to share such information with third parties or institutions, and not to misuse it.

8. Retention Period of Your Personal Data

Your personal data is stored for the period required by the purposes specified in this Clarification Text and the relevant legislation. In addition, in case of any dispute that may arise between the Foundation and the data owner, individuals will be able to keep the data limited to the purpose of making the necessary defenses within the scope of the dispute and during the statute of limitations determined in accordance with the relevant legislation.

9. Precautions and Commitments Regarding Data Security


  • Personal data is not processed unlawfully,

  • Personal data is not illegally accessed and

  • Personal data is not stored unlawfully.

The Foundation will not disclose the personal data it has obtained to anyone else in violation of the legal regulations regarding this Clarification Text and will not use it for purposes other than processing.

10. Your Rights Under the Law

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, as a personal data owner: 

  • Learning whether your personal data is processed,

  • If your personal data has been processed, requesting information about it,

  • To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the purpose,

  • Knowing the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, in the country or abroad,

  • Requesting correction of your personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and requesting notification of the related transactions to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,

  •  6698, despite the fact that it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the Law and other laws, in case the reasons requiring its processing are eliminated, to request the deletion or destruction of your personal data and to notify the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,

  • Objecting to the emergence of a result against you by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,

  • You have the right to demand the compensation of your damage in case you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of your personal data. 

Your requests regarding your aforementioned rights, within the scope of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Law and Data Controller (“Communiqué on Application”); You can send it by applying to the foundation's address.

Your application will be evaluated by the Foundation and finalized within 30 (thirty) days at the latest, as stipulated in the Law. Although it is essential that no fee is charged for your application, if the process requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged based on the fee schedule determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. 

In order to use your right to apply, it is obligatory to include the following points in your application, which are included in the 2nd paragraph of the 5th article of the Application Communiqué.

  • Name, surname and signature if the application is written,

  • Turkish identity number for citizens of the Republic of Turkey, nationality, passport number or identity number, if any, for foreigners,

  • Domicile or workplace address for notification,

  • If available, the e-mail address, telephone and fax number for notification,

  • Request subject. 

12. Changes to the Text


The Foundation may change the provisions in this Clarification Text at any time by publishing it. The provisions that the Foundation makes changes take effect on the date of publication.


This Clarification Text has been prepared for the purpose of clarifying the processing of personal data of the person concerned.
