Permatürk Foundation brings you the first Permaculture Design Certificate Course.
Especially since the onset of the Covid disease, we have been receiving increasing demands from individuals and institutions to establish sustainable living spaces.
This course provides invaluable information and an effective roadmap, especially for those who want to establish a rural living space or make existing areas more sustainable and fertile.
-
It allows you to realize your dream without making big mistakes (expenses, waste of time).
Some big mistakes:-
Thousands of walnut saplings planted in hundreds of acres have dried up because the soil structure is very sandy and mineral-poor; correct design and soil revitalization studies have not been carried out – hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage and loss of time.
-
350 walnut saplings were planted on a very clayey land with a high groundwater level, although 3 years have passed, there is no improvement in walnuts.
-
-
Ultimately, it creates abundance, abundance and resilience.
-
We share knowledge, experience and experience that will save much more money, time and effort than the course fee.
-
In this context, a course including practice/workshop is rarely held. Existing similar courses are generally held live via Zoom and only theoretical information is shared, and they do not include practical training in the field. For those who prefer this course:
-
It also includes trainings in Beykoz ecopark and also in Belentepe Farm, which contains many sample applications.
-
All proceeds of the course are transferred to the Foundation and are used to continue the Foundation's work that improves nature and people.

Stage 2
Permaculture Design Certificate (PTS) Course
In the PTS course, which can be attended by anyone who has completed the introductory course "Sustainable Living in Harmony with Nature", a roadmap for designing sustainable living spaces that are self-sufficient, compatible with nature is given.
permacultureor permaculture in English can be defined as "permanent agriculture", that is, 'permanent' and 'agriculture'; It can also be defined as "permanent culture", that is, "permanent human culture".
Permaculture was developed in Australia in the 1970s by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren. Permaculture is the work of consciously designing and sustaining ecosystems that have diversity, balance and resilience as in natural ecosystems, and that are fertile in agricultural terms. The harmonious coexistence of land and people; It is aimed to meet the basic human needs such as food, energy and shelter in a sustainable and ethical way. Bill Mollison, a biologist in his 30s, studied the living systems of Australia's forests, rivers and estuaries. He observed that all living species coexist and develop in a balance within ecosystems in nature. He realized that an ecosystem in which human impact was minimized, that could develop on its own and that also provide food to people, could very well be designed. He designed this system for the first time in his own farm. Seeing his success, his neighbors also asked Bill Mollison for support to set up similar systems. Thus, the Permaculture system, which has been going on for more than 50 years and spread all over the world, has developed. Bill Mollison has realized permaculture designs in almost every corner of the world. He examined the local agricultural practices and local plant species from the past; has incorporated the correct and effective methods into permaculture. Permaculture continues to be a system that is still developing and spreading rapidly in the world. Permaculture is a very effective and successful system for moving towards sustainable living. In essence, there is a synthesis of natural life and production systems that have been successful in various regions of the world so far.
The Permaculture Design Certificate (PTS) provides the necessary foundation for studies in the field of permaculture. To date, thousands of permaculture designers have been certified with this course and have created a global network. The course covers sustainable living systems in many different regions and climatic conditions of the earth; It includes the application of permaculture principles to food production, home design, construction activities, energy conservation and production, and also examines alternative economic structures and legal strategies that support permaculture solutions.
The curriculum of the course consists of the content of Bill Mollison's book “Permaculture: A Designers' Manual”. At the end of the course, the participants make a design work in groups and present their work to the other participants and the trainer. This is course specific, trainees will work on a concrete project that will take place.
At the end of the course, the trainees present their projects by meeting online and/or face to face. Certificate of completion given to the trainees at the end of the course.permacultureglobal.orgknown by. The certificate to be awarded provides the trainees with the opportunity to be a part of the international permaculture network.
The course, which includes online lectures with live narration, hands-on training with experts in Beykoz Permaculture Ecological Park, and a field visit to Belentepe Permaculture Farm with those who wish, will take place between February 12 and April 16, with a total of 73 + 8 (optional) hours.
Live lectures on Zoom will be recorded. If you miss the lesson, you can watch the recording.

'Everything that exists within this system of our world in which we live, with its borders and limited resources, is interconnected. We can try to solve local and urgent problems, but this will only be a 'cure of the symptom', it will not be a solution, on the contrary, it will deepen the problem and cause collapses. We should be able to recognize the root problem(s) and follow a roadmap for resolution. We should be able to make a new design for a better life.
With the road map to be provided, designs can be made at different scales, from a small garden establishment to ecociftlik, ecovillage and larger human communities living spaces.
You will see that the solution exists in nature and that life can be better by establishing support networks with all systems in the world.
Access to and use of information has been necessary for living species to survive in very difficult conditions since the very beginning of life. The first and most important step is to 'learn'.'
